Rouget-de-Lisle museum - Lons-le-Saunier

The exhibition is devoted to the life of Rouget de Lisle, author of the Marseillaise, from his birth at Lons-le-Saunier in 1760 through to his death in 1836 at Choisy-le-Roi. Many original documents, personal effects (his sword, the bow of the violin of the Marseillaise etc.), a series of explanatory panels and objects and documents from individual collections shedding light on the life of the author of the French national anthem famous throughout the world.
