Les Planches cave

Situated 4 kilometres from Arbois, at the end of a blind valley, this cave holds the source of the river Cuisance. Throughout your walk along an underground river, you will have the chance to admire some outstanding phenomena caused by erosion.  But almost 1000 years BC, the cave also served on several occasions as a habitat for man.  The villagers of the La Cuisance have recreated these people’s daily lives.
