Located since late 2009 in new premises, the René-Rémond Conservation and Study Centre houses the reserve collections of the Jura Archaeology Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts of Lons-le-Saunier, together with the Municipal Archaeology Department.
The purpose of this flexible and adaptable building is to optimise the conservation and study of archaeological collections discovered in the department of the Jura. In addition, the building and its resources have been designed using an HQE (High Environmental Quality) approach.
The Archaeology Museum regularly puts on exhibitions outside its own premises in collaboration with other satellite and partner museums. The documentation centre can be visited by appointment.
